I never knew whether our experiences of being a family in medical mystery for so long would be interesting to the wider world. It turns out that I’ve been lucky to find fantastic editors at a variety of publications who wanted to publish essays about our journey. There is no part of my experience of motherhood that has been untouched by Sammi’s health challenges. I am so grateful for every editor who saw the universal in our story.
